15 women accuse Washington NFL team executives of sexual harassment. Among those coming forward, Emily Applegate who almost spent a year with the team as a marketing coordinator between December 2014 and August 2015, said “nobody deserves to be treated unfairly, disrespected. “the most miserable experience of my life.” Applegate said that she and others did not speak up about the incidents of sexual assault before. “I needed to keep my job. When it comes down to it, 98 percent of people make decisions on stuff like this based on needing to keep their jobs – which is why this stuff goes on for so long.” Applegate said.

she is a business marketing graduated from Kean University, Emily Applegate served as the marketing coordinator at Washington’s NFL team for almost a year.
Between 2016 and 2018, Applegate volunteered at Sexual Assualt Advocate where she served as an advocate to survivors in helping them understand their rights, forensic exams and other procedures.

To review the accusations of 15 women, The N.F.L. team in Washington has appointed the lawyer Wilkinson Walsh .
“It’s disheartening, but I wouldn’t say that I’m surprised at all,” said Alison Cassidy, A former team cheerleader who attended the Costa Rica trip. “When I was there, management held this power over you, and it was this abusive power dynamic that made you feel 100% replaceable. Even if we wanted to complain about the harassment, there was no one we could tell without feeling like we’d lose our job”
On Friday Daniel Snyder, The team owner, said in a statement “institute new policies and procedures and strengthen our human resources infrastructure to not only avoid these issues in the future but most importantly create a team culture that is respectful and inclusive of all.” After the Wilkinson Walsh investigation is completed.
